DMCA Policy

Last Updated: April 5, 2026

anon.li respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA") and similar international copyright laws, we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our service.

1. Important Notice About Encryption

Due to our zero-knowledge architecture, files uploaded via anon.li Drop are encrypted client-side before upload. This means:

  • We cannot view, access, or verify the contents of encrypted files
  • We can only take action based on file metadata, valid legal requests, or abuse reports
  • When we disable access to a file, we remove the link - we cannot decrypt or examine the content

Despite these technical limitations, we take copyright claims seriously and will disable access to reported content.

All DMCA notices should be sent to our Designated Copyright Agent:

Email: abuse@anon.li
Subject Line: DMCA Takedown Request

We do not accept DMCA notices by postal mail.

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple works are covered, provide a representative list.

  2. Identification of the infringing material - specifically, the anon.li URL(s) you wish to have removed or disabled. Be as precise as possible.

  3. Your contact information - sufficient for us to contact you:

    • Full legal name
    • Email address
    • Phone number (optional but recommended)
    • Physical address (optional)
  4. A statement of good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

  5. A statement of accuracy - that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
